I started braiding jewelry as a creative outlet.
As I wore my own creations many people ask where they could purchase what I was wearing.
I took their compliments to heart and started looking for a place to sell
and found the Guernsey County Farmers Market.
I really enjoy customers comments as they come back to purchase additional items -
it really makes my day. I’ve recently started selling laminated bookmarks and
house plants that I raise.

Relay for Life is a huge part of my life.
I used to make and sell candy during the Christmas holidays as my contribution -
but it was seasonal then I was left with nothing to do.
Being a quilter - I had lots of fabric that needed used up.
The idea hit me to make smaller items with that remaining fabric.
Now I make baby & little girl dresses, purses, place mats, kitchen items, adult bibs, clothespin bags
and more! This will be my third year participating in the Guernsey County Farmers Market.
In 2010 Relay received my earnings of $9,000.
