SNAP - Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program
GCFM is pleased to accept Ohio Direction Card, Ohio's food assistance
program, an Electronic Bank Transfer (EBT- SNAP) program replacing paper
food stamps. Recipients receive their benefits electronically,
and access them with a card which acts like a debit card.
This service really makes it easier for those who receive SNAP.
Whatever your financial situation everyone deserves to have access to good food.
It's not just the basics but every now and then treats as well to snack on at a party or while playing Party Poker.
This service allows you to do that and to get the most from your money.
GCFM will sell Ohio Direction Card shoppers $1 denomination wooden
EBT- SNAP tokens which may be used in lieu of cash at the markets
within the following provisions:
$1 EBT- SNAP Tokens may only be used for: fruits, vegetables, meats,
fish, poultry, dairy products and seeds and plants intended for
growing food
$1 EBT- SNAP Tokens may not be used for: non-food items,
ready-to-eat foods, hot foods
No change can be given back by vendors
Unused tokens can be returned to the EBT booth
and credited to your Ohio Direction Card account.
Some of our farmers/ producers also accept vouchers from the
Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program for women, infants and children
(WIC)
